Perfect Summer Spritzer

If you know me and Philip well, you know that we consume a lot of wine at our house. But with the temperatures in Scottsdale hitting 110+, I was in need of a more refreshing option. Luckily my good friend Steph came to the rescue. She recently made me this tasty spritzer drink. It's easy, cheap, and super refreshing. And anything that combines wine with fruity tartness is wonderful in my book!

1 bottle of white wine (Try the Two Buck Chuck from Trader Joe's)
Equal amount of ginger ale
1 can of frozen pink lemonade concentrate

Mix together in a pitcher,  add a few frozen raspberries, and enjoy!

I Heart Mod Vintage

Today, in the midst of all my blogstalking, I stumbled upon ModCloth. They are self described as featuring "Mod Retro Indie Clothing and Vintage Clothes." After spending just a few short minutes browsing their dresses, I. Am. In. LOVE! They sell all kinds of clothing including tops, bottoms, accessories, and my favorite - dresses! (Trust me, you would love dresses too if you lived in AZ where it's triple digits for four months straight!) They sort of remind me of Anthropologie, except that a majority of their dresses, for example, cost less than $50. Now that's my kind of store!  Here are a few of my favs from their collection. Love, love, LOVE!!!

Recent Shopping Finds

I'm excited to share with you a few of my most recent house decorating purchases! First of all, HomeGoods rocks! Last weekend I scored this gorgeous mirrored armoire for only $150 ($24 after all my gift cards :), which totally adds glamor to our bedroom. This lovely teal teapot was only $20. I can't wait to get to our kitchen renovations, which are going to include refinished cabinets, an orange ceiling, and more sweet teal accents. Lastly, the fun dove salt and pepper shakers are from Eclatante Design Boutique. I saw them on their blog about six months ago and couldn't stop thinking about them. They are located in Philadelphia, so I just had them shipped to me. They were a little bit of a splurge, but I love them! They emulate the curves on our great room wall, and are evocative of all the doves that are in our yard and perch on our roof. AND the salt and pepper come out of a little hole under their beaks - How cute is that!?! I can't wait to use them for our dinner party in two weeks!
